I had that same problem for a while..but took out my modchip, and instead of using the wire install, i put the header pin in.  Havent had a problem since..so maybe there is an LPC connection problem...also..I have heard that sometimes if your harddrive is getting bad sectors..this problem can occur.  hope i helped

i think maybe your xbox is over heating. try running evox off a cd and see if it loads faster. if it does then kingviper is probably right that u have bad sectors in ur HDD.

it's probably overheating... i think something on ur board may be fried or slowly frying. how big is ur HDD and how fast is it?

Thought about that too.. made a reinstall of the factory drive.

No diff.

But as you also wrote, that shouldn´t really influence the speed of the bios.

Thanx for taking your time, all of you!

i have a messed up motherboard, and it goes really slow at the evox menu, so it might be the motherboard

i have a v1.1 xb and it has a 20 gig wd hdd in it and has been running fine for over 6 months
and this eve i went to start it up and it took about 45 secs for the xecutor2 logo to come up at the boot screen ...xbmp will freeze up now when viewing and evox is a bit slow....
i have a unit with a reflashed tsop and the newest x2 flash....
games will still load and run from the hd fine & backups and originals run fine to but now take like 30 secs to load due to the lag at boot up animation (X SCREEN)...
i only write this to ask for any clues and to inform that i have similar issues using no chip and a flashed tsop.......i will check back on this freq. with my results...
