Orange Light Booting Problem

Hi i have an xbox(modded)  that works for a few minutes when its cold, and then starts blinking its orange light.When i restart it sometime boots again and works for a few minutes/seconds and does the same.Once in a while it reboots without video and sometime with video.I know this cause i hear the startup sound.My question is ,is this a heat or a video problem.The more you try to reboot the smaller the chances it will renoot.Anyway it is always the orange light that blinks.How do i fix this ? and whats exactly the problem ?
