Im interested in finding out whether you can utilize a usb external hard drive with a modded xbox. Initially since the xbox can detect any memory sticks / ide sticks, i would assue it would be possible for this to occur. has anyone tried this?

if this works, than maybe USB CDRs will work. I got a USB CDWriter which i would love to use on my Xbox, for reading CDR discs(got thompson drive)

Im in the process of testing a USB Maxtor 40GB HD with expirimental XBE code, Im pulling hairs out of my head trying to get it to work. Being that the controller ports are only 1.1 USB compliant of course im gonna run into restrictions. If anyone can assist me or help with expirimental code i would greatly appreciate it

i hope this works with this new usb hack.
i tried it with gentooxx and it wouldnt mount for some reason but thats different maybye someone can make this work!
