Modchips keep XBox-Scene running. And, modchips are better than these exploits.

Thats all I am going to say in these two boards...scary enough here. There should be a detour sign to the tutorials before people hit these two boards here...

No-Mod exploits could screw up the Xbox  - XBL will most definitely "fix" the "problem" of the exploits... with a mod chip, the worst they can do is ban you from XBL (and a smart person would preserve their Serial Number in an EEPROM dump and zero it out - saving a virgin serial for future XBL Play)

I also wonder what happens when the clock goes out... I assume the hack will load MXM or Evo-X as a dashboard and those apps can use time servers to reset the clock.

I do plan on signing MXM and X-Selector to work with the exploits as soon as I get a chance to try them out (Got 007:AUF and a memory card recently), but for me, the mod chips are trusty and safe bet on the Xbox.

Very sensible! But, the worst thing that could happen is a complete ban from Live, including account!

Guys stick with modchips.

Modchips are the safest way as you can turn them of via switch and what not but at least at that point (off) you know your safe and don't have to worry about wether or not you are gonna get banned for using an xploit.  To think that M$ will let this slide by, with the way the chopped up good ol' Lik-Sang.

MODCHIPS are safe.. give you the most options.. (you can still try exploits) plus.. when you click on an XS sponsor.. you support XBOX-SCENE.

Give a Modchip a good Home!

Definately gonna stick with a chip...I like the option of updating my bios when a new version is released.

I also have this growing fear that new games will simply have something that 'fixes' the exploit.  It would suck to have built the exploit, buy Halo2 when it comes out, then find out that when you put it in that something screwed up my xbox (some kind of new protection).  I just feel safer with the modchip.

i dont have a chip and the clock loop is pretty bad, i had to leave it constantly rebooting for like 8 hours, but it seems everybody with the clock porblem can just leave it on trying to boot and go do something, like go to bed and wake up with an evox screen

Holy shit, this may be off topic but Vintage has done more posts in one day that I have done in 4 whole months!!!
Anyway, about the mod vs no mod thing!!!

I have two modded xbox's already and I am going to try this exploit thing on my third Green 1.2 box to see what its like!!
I am a non solder boy and as there isn't a really good non-solder chip for 1.2, 1.3 xboxs I will use this exploit until one comes out!!
