QUOTE (Hey_Deez @ Dec 18 2003, 03:10 PM)
I flashed my Xecuter 2.3 with 4979.67. Afterwards I installed a 160GB HD and formatted it, but it only allowed 120GB of space. It doesnt show a G: drive and I even tried to flash with X24977 *FC* +137 which it said it took and erased my Cromwell on bank 2. I still can't get a G: to partition. Can anyone help with this....Thanks

I used the 4979.67 BIOS and even made sure this option was available in XBtool

Also, is there a way I can't get Cromwell back on one of my banks without using a programmer?

Is the ".67" bios the one that is setup for partition6 (up to 137gb)/partition7 (rest of drive)?

If so, have you formatted partition7?

If you're using EvoX dash, have you enabled the G: drive ("UseDriveG" or "UseGDrive" - something like that) in the evox.ini?

I don't even have a partion 7, so best bet is its not enabled in the evox.ini file.  I should change the file via FTP?

I know, i've already tried this, but since there is no G: it doesnt work.  I think I need to change the Evox.ini file, but should I be able to do this easy through FTP?

ok so if you ftp to your xbox and you can see a G drive then yeah i would think all you have to do is edit the .ini but you would think the setup would do that for you.. weird.. maybe not.. not sure

I guess I'll have to check when I get home.  What would you suggest if this isnt the case?  I know my BIOS supports the +137 HDD, but I was wondering because if it was because I flashed the chip while original HD was in.....  I don't know, but I would like my extra 60GB of space!!   mad.gif

If anybody know exactly what happened and what to do, I would appreciate it......  I'm going  blink.gif

Ok, I havent FTP to the Xbox yet, so I just need to FTP Evox.ini out of the Xbox, change "Enable G:" to yes, and then FTP back to the Xbox and everything should be dandy?

What's the make and model number of your hard drive?

WD 160GB 8MB Cache 7200RPM  It is lockable

What's the exact model number?
On the Western Digitals it'll be something like WD1200LB or WD1600PB.  It'll be on the sticker on the drive.

Also, is the drive being recognised as 120GB (F: is about 112,000,000,000 bytes) or 137GB (F: is about 129,000,000,000 bytes)?
