Dvd Ejecting On Bootup
« on: May 24, 2003, 09:44:00 PM »

This is my first post and I have been searching for an answer to this problem but am unable to find one.  I'm hope someone might be able to offer some advice.

I have X-Box v1.1, X2pro, Cromwell Bios.  I'm a newbie to x-box mods but have tried to do my research before I broke out the soldering pencil.

My problem is I have a bad install and fear my box is trashed.  I installed the X2pro becuase I wanted the multiple BIOS storage and decided to try the D0 on the top side after reading a article on how to prep the surface.  I also opted for the headerpins so I could switch the chip if needed.  All seems well on my solders, looks clean and things seemed to go smooth.  Upon bootup My power light flashes green 3x, ejects the dvd tray, flashes green 6x and then flashes red then green with no picture.  This happens when I try with all switches off or just #4 on.  I have not loaded Evox yet becuase I wanted to make sure my install was clean before I do anymore work.

Does anyone know what this error might point to?  I'm guessing D0 as it seems to be the most common  problem.

Thanks for any help.

Use an RCA connector to hook it up to your TV to get  a picture.

Thanks to both, I was using the HD converter.  I used the RCAs and I could see the picture.  I do have two more questions.  Is there a patch that allows me to use the HD converter?  Also what would cause the box to boot to the same Linux BIOS regardless if the switches are set to off or the 4th is set to on?
