Homebrew Layout For The V1.2! Working And Tested!

I have v1.2 le xbox, and i'm using SST's 29EE020 chip. Flashing went fine with uniflash.
When i try to boot the xbox with or without the chip, it goes three times on and off, and then begins to flash green-red(orange?) light.

I'm able to boot it normally, when i take E (link32) wire off. If the chip is in place (socket), it boots just like there isn't it (as it is supposed to be?).

Is this chip compatible with xbox (enough fast?) or what else could be wrong?

I have soldered few ps2's and xboxes (older models) succesfully.

I'm having trouble installing my hombrew in a v1.3 black xbox.  I'm using an am27c020 and i've tried following both d-bloods diagram (http://www.xbox-scen...d_diagrams.html) as well as one from modchips2000.de (http://www.modchips2.../xboxv12_13.gif) and neither has worked... One thing i've noticed with the diag. from modchips2000 is that point 1 on the eeprom (A18) is labled as Vpp and has not been used.
The AMD technical sheet (http://www.amd.com/u..._docs/11507.pdf) lists it as Program Supply Voltage. Has anyone else run into this problem and succesfully worked around it?

Here's what i've managed to figure out.  Point E on the xbox as well as 16, 22, 24, and are linked to 32 (+5V)

the rest of the spots are ok... it's just Vpp/A18 that seems ambiguous to me...

Any help would be appreciated.

so i don't think that the following info has not been posted yet and might become handy to all of us..

my tsop chip is a ST M29F002BT
to flash this chip in your evox you just have to add the following line into evox.ini (somewhere near the other Flash lines)

Flash = 0x20b0,"ST - M29F002BT",0x40000

then just flash as usual and everything will work fine..

a few words about the homebrew pins.. i've used my old homebrew (evox 3.6) to flash this green tsop and used exactly the same pin setup as i used for other v1.0 v1.1 xboxes

so on the schematic provided above, the following onboard pins are not used..

G, Vcc,  RP, A19, A18

Good work boys smile.gif
