Homebrew Layout For The V1.2! Working And Tested!
« on: February 27, 2004, 09:19:00 AM »

Homebrew would be better than using 007 hack cause I am now fixing a dead box that was "hacked" via 007 exploit. Now I have to waste my time on researching the 3 or 4 different tutorials/posts that tell you how to enable TSOP flashing cause I have never done it yet. Where is your backup with flashing the TSOP with no modchip connected? Thanks to D-Bloods post here I may be able to fix this 1.3 box
Still not clear on all the points I need to link and connect to switches. Would it be ok to just use wires and then cut the wire for the switch part? I will try that. I would like to double check what I "think" I have to do. I have the chip soldered normally and it boots, but now to flash the TSOP I need to connect pin 31 to the point labelled E, and then 24 goes to the point labelled G (or does it just need to still be connected to pins 16 and 22?). Now when the box boots to evox I just cut the wires and go flash the chip? Thanks for any replies.

Hope the picture speaks for itself.

And add the following line to evox.ini if you want to be able to TSOP flash the ST M29F002BT70N1 from the Evolution-X flash menu.

Flash = 0x20b0,"ST - D-BlooD R0X y0 B0X",0x40000

:D Have phun and post questions if you have any :)

I assume this will work for enigmah and other 29 wire style modchips for the 1.0... but how to tell which wires go where...
also would this work for the v1.1?

 it will 'not' work with enigmah , because the enigmah modchip has a bios only working on 3944/4043 v1.0 bioses.

v1.1 has same points as v1.0 as far as I know (never tried to mod a v1.1 with a gen1 mod though) - but once again , you need a compatible bios with your xbox version.

here we go, ive wired a homebrew chip using evox v1.1 bios to the points shown above but all i get is red n green flashing light, the homebrew i use works ok in v1.1 models, but if i remove the homebrew the xbox boots fine, ive gone over the points and everything is fine.

greets to dblood for posting 1st homebrew diagram for v1.2 ;)
