120gig Hard Drive Died. Help!

Tried formatting the 120 gig hard drive via "Format a new HD through FTD" found in the toturial section. I networked the xbox w. the PC with no problem.  Tired the "Raw FTP Commands" and type in Formatpath DeviceHarddisk0Partition1.  It didnt seem to do anything so I shut down and was going to try it with the Evo Boot disk instead. Once I power the Xbox I get a beeping sound. Everything is still good except when I plug in the 120g hard drive. Tried fixing the hard drive on the PC but the bios wont even detect the drive and also have the same beeping sound when plug it in the PC. Anyways is there anyway to salvage this situation other then exchanging the Hard Drive for a new one?
