Run Xbox Game From Pc-harddisk
« on: September 17, 2005, 08:35:00 AM »

I have two iso's of xbox-games on my pc-harddrive. They are both too big to fit on my xbox-hd (i only have 1 gig free) and my dvd-recorder is broken, so i need  to figure a way out to play these games on my xbox.

I tried to use Deamon-Tools to mount the iso on a virtual dvd-drive, and then share this drive on the network, but this doesn't work. When i open this virtual drive with my xbox, i only get an empty screen, like when the drive is empty.

I use Xbox Media Center (the newest build) as a Dashboard, but i also tried with Evolution-X and this also didn't work.

Could anyone tell me how I can make this work?

you cannot stream games over a network. it is not possible at the moment (and does not look like it ever will be to)

just play with the original disks until you get a larger hard drive.

Play the originals until you can save up for a big HDD or a new burner

this is becuase the PC cant read the xiso image, since your using samba to browse to the virtual drive you are seeing your PCs interpretation of the data

try running them from the original disc, or deleting something else off your xbox
