Hmm, that's odd. Okay, here's what I did. I uninstalled Action Replay but left XBCD on there. Why? Because if you uninstall XBCD without uninstalling, the driver, it's still on there. So, after you uninstall Action Replay , right-click My Computer, select Properties, the Hardware Tab, and then Device Manager. Scroll down to Human Interface Devices, expand that section, and highlight XBCD XBox Gamepad to uninstall it.

Now you can uninstall XBCD from Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. Once XBCD is uninstalled, plug in the controller and reinstall XBCD and hit next throughout the install and when it says Please Replug The Controller or Restart Your Computer, unplug the controller and plug it back in. This is when the new hardware wizard should show up. It will ask you if you want to Check for Windows Updates, say No, not at this time, and then just hit Install Software Automatically.

It will give you a warning saying that it hasn't passed Windows LOGO testing, just hit Continue Anyway.

Then hit Finish. The New Hardware Wizard should come up again for HID-compliant Game Controller. Again, hit No, not at this time for the windows updates. Then, hit install software automatically.

Hit Finish again. Install Action Replay. When that's done, put the memory card in the controller and you should hear that Ding-Dong sound. If the New Hardware Wizard pops up, it will say Action Replay Max Drive, and just continue with that, installing the software automatically. If nothing comes up, chances are that it's already installed and working. Open up Action Replay and see.
