Whats A Good Modchip For Me To Get?

I am probably gonna get a 120gb HD this summer, and according to my friend it's alot harder to format it and everything if I have a soft mod (which I have now) and that a chip is alot faster. Mainly for this reason I wanna get a chip in my Xbox, but I wanna get on with a switch that I can install in the back to turn it on or off, so I can go on live. I would prefer a pretty cheap chip too, so, what chip do you guys think I should get?

Get an X2.6... Real good chip. You can get one around $30 shipped in the BST forums. Hit up Serious Sam. You could also get a duox2 for around $18 shipped that doesn't have a switch, but can be disabled for live when u press the eject button and enabled when u press the power button. Hit up Xmodds in the BST forums. Both good chips. Also if you need someone to install either chip, let me know...  wink.gif

Any solderless adapters for the Duox2?

No, but their are for the X2.6... I got one that I could sell to u for $13 if u'd like. They usually sell for more then $20 in other places. Also my offer still stands to install the chip for u. Soldering is always the best way to go. Let me know..

Rylinkus, I wish I could tell you, but I recentley screwed up my Xbox with a Softmod (Error 13) and learned that you could fix it with a mod chip only after I bought a broken one. I'm gonna swap the motherboard and hard drive with this broken one. I can't really tell you the version because my Xbox is currentley at my friends, who is the one good at soldering.

I guess I could get him to do solder in a duox2.

The only thing I can think of worse then spamming some other crappy Xbox site (Against X-S rules), is failing at it.
