They guy is using a crossover cable not a Router. You sound like you just stepped out of class and want to unload all this information before you explode. If you want to help read the original post and answer appropriatley dont launch into advanced TCP/IP for tossers.

First rule of support start with the simple things and go from there.

Yea, and it sounds like your new to networking too.

he needs to subnet his class c network

MY GOD MAN, what in the FUCK gives you that idea?
He's not a damn network administrator. And the main purpose for subnetting
a network is to further sub-divide a given network or create additional
networks. This guy has no need for either one. What good is all that
so called knowledge you have if you dont know how or when to apply it?

Back to the topic at hand:

I really dont know where i am going wrong so if someone could help that would be like a god sent!

Your settings look fine. The only problem I can see is maybe you have
DHCP enabled, which if thats the case the settings you listed for the
xbox will be irrelavant and your active IP will be 0.0.0.0, which wont work.
So if you have exox make sure the evox ini is set to static=NO.
Besides that if the 192.168.0.3 address is the active IP and you still cant
ping then you may have a physical connection down. Do what ItchyB
suggested.
