Yes, Solderless adapters are better for 1.0/1.1 Motherboards. Since they have the Solder in there you dont have to use those stupid rivets that come with them for a 1.2-1.5 install.

Your best bet is still to use solder though.  You'll have fewer, if any, problems in the end.  Just do a wire install instead with a X3CE.
