hi im a noob and sorry for being it. but i have a question. what kind of mod chip do i need to be able to play games off my hard drive and is there a solderless version? also, how much sspance does the stock xbox hard drive have?

You don't even need a chip to do what you want to do. Just use an exploit or something. As far as space on the stock HDD, 8-10Gb.

if you want to play on live get a chip but since you want to play games from the hard drive your going to want a bigger hard drive and a chip makes swapping them easier

i want to play on live without being banned and i wanna be able to save a few games to my hard drive, just like 4-5 most.

well with 4 to 5 games your still going to need a bigger hard drive and the chip is up to you and if you have ever been on live before with that xbox you cant change the hard drive cause if you do they will ban you

Well I just ordered a SmartXX V2 and an OPX from Bmmods today. I'm a SmartXX guy I guess... but for your use you'll probably LOVE the OPX if you have a 1.6/1.6b.

Well if you have a v1.6, I believe the only solderless install right now is the spiderchip.
and if you dont have a 1.6, almost all chips have solderless install.

PS- I prefer Xenium ICE

im almost 100% sure its a 1.1, it MAY be a 1.2 or 3

EDIT:so i will get banned if i change my hard drive, what do i do if i dont wanna get banned

if u go on live with chip on u will get banned strait away with a diffrent HDD your percentage is higher even with chip off, i belive not to be so tricky by coping your orignal HDD key and pasteing it onto your new hdd (does it make sence)

okay let me start fresh. i have a stock 1.1 or 1.2 xbox, i wanna be able to play on the live account ive been playing on and i want to be able to load a few games tomy HD. what do i need to do and how much do i need to spend?
