Then your box is 192.168.1.101

Now check the ip address that mxm has.

First get back to the mxm ltools screen and see what the ip address is.  If it matches then just ftp over and check if ya have the backup in there.

Then your gonna have to change some settings on your router to match that, or if you can change the ip in mxm.

I'm not getting into changing router settings so don't ask.

If your just fonna ftp stuff to the box, do it in evox, then use mxm, tho run whatever you ftp'ed.

Save you some trouble.

and that backup thing, if you shut her off halfway through it wont wreck anything, it wasnt changing anything to begin with.

He can't go to evox, he hasn't installed it yet, still in mxm.

The reason for ftping is to check if there is already a backup there.

Just click install UXE and if there is a backup it will install, if there isn't a backup it will backup for ya.

I don't think its too bad...I mean, in this case, a damn crossover cable would solve every problem.  This is probably a lot easier than modding with an older chip, and dealing with evox and flashing boot disks.  But with X3 Config Live, and the Xenium OS, its just that much easier.

hey I just thought of something....can you just load an evox boot disk?  god damn i'm an idiot.

OPTION 4:

4)  make an evox boot disk, change IP settings.

this particular situation is annoying cuz its a pain trying to find the easiest work around a very simple problem.
