flash your chip with an X2 4983 or M8 bios and use its built-in IGR

hmm...you may want to grab EVtool to edit your M8 and turn on IGR then.  (tho it SHOULD, i believe, already be on)

beyond that, i don't know why else it wouldn't work

the only dash that i know of that has software reset is evox, but that sux. the bios he has may be an older version of m8, so it may not have IGR, so u will have to reflash. unless u want to use evox.
