Not a modem, an ethernet (network interface card aka NIC) , most moden PCs have them on the motherboard, you can pick one up for £10, and fit it in 5 min

i have just brought and xbox cystle about a month ago so it will prob be a 1.6b version.
all this stuff will work on mine wont it?

also i will be able to put games onto my xbox harddrive and then put them onto a disc and use stuff like emulator and edit maps for halo and shit like that. also how big would the games be?
