I have seen this on amazon: "Wester Digital 200GB 7200RPM Hard Drive 8MB Cache" (there is a typo on the amazon site). http://www.amazon.co...3025243-3510224

This is the special edition. The lists say that it might or might not lock, does it depend on the version of the xbox? If so, do you know if it will work with the 1.6b version? thanks

tongue.gif ) and I run evox 3935.
Im looking to buy a new hard drive to actually exploit the softmod I made.
Im sure it has been discuss before but I just don't want to screw up.

Im seeking for a 160 gig hard drive and I have found these:

For the Western Digital:
WD1600JBRTL
WD1600JB00EVAO
WD1600JBRTLF

And Maxtor:
6Y160P0
L01P160  But i think these two are about the same..

Can you tell me your opinions about them and If you know if they are noisy or need extra cooling. Or even you can suggest me other that are better.
I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks!

I've found that drives with 8M cache or more are always lockable. Maxtor 160G with 2M cache is not lockable, but the 8M is.

Hi, this is my first post.  I'm a newbie and dispite reading through 4+ hrs worth of text I still couldn't find the answer to what I'm looking for.  This might sound stupidly obvious to some of you, but I was wondering is it possible to revert a locked Xbox HDD back for PC use?  Thanks in advance.
