nemt, that looks like a maxtor to me... odds are it will be lockable, but none the less a gamble.

Just thought I'd add that I have confirmed that the Maxtor 4W100H6 100GB 2MB cache 5400rpm is not lockable with ConfigMagic, to remove any doubt of its lack of lockability.

I'm switching the HD that's in my xbox right now (WD 160GB) to  a
80GB WD800JB-00CRA1 (I'm not sure if the 00cra1 part matters...). Does anyone know if the 80 GB WD800JB-00CRA1 is lockable? I searched all the sites and I couldnt find this EXACT model..

Thanks.

I locked a Seagate ST380020ACE 80.0 GB 5400 RPM on a Xbox 1.4 using configmagic 2/10/03 release. this drive was from a cooked Dish Network PVR Model 508 i would have to guess the st380020A would also lock because the only difference between ACE and A is that ACE is a OEM drive and A is a retail drive

just my .02

I now have configmagic, is there any changes that need to be made in the ini file for locking of the drive? I noticed that the path points to the D drive for the EEPROMBinFile and EEPROMCgfFile is this at all related to locking the drive? and if so do I change it to the C drive if I'm running this from the hard drive? I just don't want to mess up my xbox.

Thanks
