theres two things that plug into the hard drive...  the wider ribbon cable is the IDE cable...  the other one is the molex power connector...

Granted it sounds funny, BUT, I don't think they teach basic electronics in school last time I checked...why not cut the kid a break..

'-AcE-_TheChort'

Although an XBox is not a PC (pretty close though), it would be advisable to read a few tutorials on modding and the like before jumping in - metku.net is a good place to start. I would read everything he has written tutorial wise - knowlege of electronics is a good thing especially basic knowlege - it is easy to break things (and yourself) otherwise.

Basic Electricity for Modders; a very good place to start, obviously no-one can force you to read these things, but please at least read this one and you may be interested enough to have a look at the rest.

He's talking about the molex connectors (for the new guy - which is the white plastic piece that the 4 wires connect to that you plug into the harddrive. You can buy them individually if you needed them.)

I actually saw some people put 3mm LED's in them on computer mods...but no use on the box since you can't see it anyway.

Good luck and KEEP READING!!!
