there is an issue with the 7200 rpm drives
I have a wd 120 gig 7200 rpm
and it does overheat my xbox , all i do is leave off
the top cover and everything is okay
the overheating problems that i get are the game will freez
no controller responce like pushing button and nothing happens.
so i decided just leave the cover off when i play the xbox, and when im done put it back on.

My Western Digital 80 gig Special Edition runs perfect, it actually is one of the coolest hard drives www.storagereview.com ever seen. Runs at abou 15c degrees , not all 7200's are hot.

hehhe... yes don't worry too much, at least mine's working okay and fine and i do keep my fingers crossed hope nothing would happen,... have been using wd 120gb for about 4-5 months now

yea no problems here with a wd 7200.......until my house burnt down! hahahahahaha........i installed two chipset fans for exahust just because im a paranoid freak...but theres nothing to worry about

I read a review of the 7200 rpm 120 GB IBM drive that I'm going to buy on friday, and they all say that THIS drive puts out VERY little heat and almost NO noise!! (plus I found a great deal on it....$142.00 INCLUDING shipping!!)
