QUOTE (bah-hah @ Mar 19 2003, 02:30 PM)
i found something else:

[Action_10]

LogFile      = "f:test.log"
Info "Install 4034 Dashboard"
Warning "This will format all drives"
Warning "Install msdash 4034"
Warning "Flash BIOS to Evox 2.4"
Progress "Now Installing 4034 Dashboard"
#
# This will format alle drives ,copy the dashboard c: and flash the bios
#
ConfigSector "dash4034config.bin"
Format c:
Format e:
#Format f:
Format x:
Format y:
Format z:
copy "dash4034c" "c:"
# the flashbios will force a "power off" after the bios is flashed
flashbios "biosevox V2.4.bin"

dunno what much of that means, but i think that might have been what happened.

Almost there...

There should also be a folder called Bios.
I need to know the name of the file which is in there. I believe its something like *.bin

Ok, the good news is: It is impossible to have overwritten the bios with an MS one.

When you boot do you now see: Matrix inside?

Secondly, how was evox installed on your XBOX: CD or on HD

If on HD, did you rename evoxdash.xbe it to Xboxdash.xbe, and your original one to msxboxdash?

no, it says "m i c r o s o f t"

sorry for the spread out words, it keeps abbreviating it to "MS"

Sorry, my mistake, that has nothing to do with the BIos...

So let's assume you have a good bios. What happens if you put in the evox boot cd you made.

the xbox gives says basically that the xbox cannot read the disc and makes me eject it before i can do anything.

Can you reburn that disk (on another CDRW) and try?
Or first try and clean it.

Or.. If you have a DVD-R backup lying around, does this work?

The only thing, it could have done is flash the Bios of the chip, but then, it would be flashed with another good bios. So I'm a bit lost as to why it want start the DVD-R.

Could you try and burn it to CDRW.

Also, your x2 lite is soldered right? It's not with the pogo pin add-onn...

Ok, if it's flashed, then you'll HAVE TO GET the programmer.
