QUOTE (menowplease @ Oct 4 2002, 09:30 PM)
Should I go with cheap dvd-rw (50 cents each) or buy the expensive dvd-r (more than $2 each)?  Beside the price difference, do the performance varies that much too?

As I understand it, it really depends on the drive in your XBox - no two have exactly the same "tolerance" of DVD-R. In saying that, Bulkpaq Gen 3 r2 media (50p each = 35 cents?) works 100% in my XBox. I'd say the performance was even better than the test Apple DVD-R I burned - seemed to be slightly faster, and I couldn't hear the drive "retrying" at all. Maybe it was just the game I tried...

Anyway, I'd buy a couple of the cheap ones first to test - nothing worse than having 25 coasters

(I believe you are misreading the ad.)

Man I would love to get my hands on some Princo DVD-RW's, or OPTODISC's for fitty cents!
