or maybe try passive mode in ftp proggie? try it? didnt have that problem yet :S

hmm, i once had this problem with downing something with flash fxp from ftp, but then its because one of the connection is not connected or a cable is unplugged...

are you also connercted to the internet when trying to do this?
it sounds like flashfxp is trying to use your isp's dns to resolve your xbox's address.

maybe try it with a crossover cable.
