Its definatly 2 solder points on the 1.4 board right??

I re solderd them like 3 times now. and i still get flash failed ["}

1st time i solderd tem from the top but was never happy with the solder on the one nearest the winbond chip.
So second time i did that one from the bottom , I took quite a bit of time with it.
Still dint work. But i was and am sure that that solder is good on that one.

Then i deiced it must be the other point on the top of the board.
"the one futher away from the winbond chip"
So i took away asmuch of the excess from that as i could.
And that looks good too.
But still flash failed.

Im using hexen.
Im about ready to call this one a softmoded box and have done with it and move on to the next.

2 (pairs of) points, yes.
Also, make sure that you use raincoat if you have the Winbond TSOP.

I believe Hexen will work for the winbond just make sure you are using the correct method to try and flash the chip. The Winbond has its on separate flashing method in Hexen.

Also use a ohm meter to check your soldering. Just use a different point to make sure the points that you soldered or bridged correctly.

Thnx for the replies. I decided that il just leave that one softmoded i have to many others to concider right now.
Im starting to get confuzed lol..


Im prety sure i have that 1.4 then a 1.0 or 1.1 with a vid error i still havent botherd to look at, and then two more 1.0's that i need to mod up. but i dont want to start that process without having the gpu fans.

I really should try and figure out whats wrong with the psu's i have spare too.

Think i should make my self a to do list lol. and do things in order because right now i do 30% of one then 20% of the other and everything gets closet to being done but nothing is done lol.
