Tsop Without Eeprom
« on: February 02, 2020, 10:23:00 PM »

Hi , I have a xbox that has previously been tsop flashed successfully with cromwell .

I made a huge error in flashing it back to the original bios without first making a eeprom backup (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) . I now get error 5 or 6 with the hard drive and have tried reading the eeprom with a reader unsuccessfully .

Is there any other way around this ,either flashing the bios again and what to use or continue trying to read eeprom or last resort mod chip the system.

I tried ponyprog for the eeprom reader and it passed the probe test but when I go to read it says device not responding . Any help appreciated .

I had another go at the eeprom reader and this time I got the read from it smile.gif  .

Ive got a 1.0 xbox and the points are filled with solder and had one pin was slightly raised higher than the other . I had used blue tack to keep it in place but this time I had the reader on an angle and used a pen to push the pins down when I did the read and success .

Built another larger hard drive and softmodded with xbmc and all is good .
