Xbox 359 Mslogo
« on: October 18, 2009, 05:08:00 PM »

Hey peeps just thought I'd share something with yall.

I was tinkering with a bunch of different combinations of boot up screens a while back and tried to find something I could be proud of. I didn't want it to scream "OMG 1337 HaX0r", i wanted it to be subtle and yet make sure you knew it was modded when you saw it.

I wanted to update the XBOX's original boot up screen to be more modern. I looked to the XBOX 360's loading screen that comes up when you pop in an original XBOX game. This thing is much more than just an original XBOX, but its not quite a 360 so I named it XBOX 359. I'm still trying to find the coolest flubber screen I can get (besides changing the directx models, that seems damn tricky) but I'm sticking with this X screen. I color matched the X screen with the 360's loading screen as much as i could. It may be a little different depending on your tv screen. I used the 360 font and matched the sizes exactly.

anyways here you go. enjoy

That would be cool if we could get a big "M" (the same size as the "X") from the Monster Energy logo instead of the "X" at the end.

Anyone know how to get this one to work with X2 5035?

I renamed it to x2logo.bmp and it still shows "rocks my box" at the bottom with a pink background.  blink.gif

I got it to work with iND 5001 VGA bios but the problem is that with iND, I have to use video mode 1+3 and in doing so, I can't see my Xenium blue's OS so I have to blindly select the bios to load. This is why I would like to get this bmp to work with 5035.

Thanx in advance.

Nice work GoTeamScotch!

for those of us with X2 bios, here is the relevant info:  (EDIT:please correct if wrong)

colorXlip = ffffffff
colorXlipHighlights = ffa0a0a0
colorInnerWalls = ffbedf00
colorInnerGlow = ff296f17
colorXboxText = ff7ab81f
xLogoBackgroundColor = ffffffff

right-click and save-as:
IPB Image

Disclaimer: I had to paste the new artwork into the old bmp to make this work, so the size is different...

Cool, good work! I'm glad my bmp can be used by more people now.  smile.gif
I hope you used the bmp download as your base rather than right clicking my compressed jpg preview in this thread    ?

On the root of E.

When I first downloaded this picture, it was not set up for X2 5035. It was 19kb, 24-bit bmp, and 200 x 34 pixels.

It has to be 256 color BMP with a size of 180 x 50 pixels exactly. X2 5035 is very picky, apparently.

I couldn't get this thing to work until I resized the image in MS Paint to exactly 180 x 50 pixels and saved it as 256 color bmp.

When you get it right, it should be 9kb in size.

Regards.

I don't know much about the X3 bioses but I would assume that you do not have to reflash the chip. It is just a matter of setting up the logo correctly so the bios sees it. I would wait for someone to chime in that knows a bit more about X3 bioses. Or maybe try Google to get a solution a little quicker.
