Using X3ce To Flash Tsop
« on: February 25, 2007, 07:33:00 PM »

hey, i have 2 boxes, and have a X3CE, so i was wondering if i can just put it in my other box, set up the HDD, then boot up in evox and flash my tsop through that?

and i read the tuts and things, but they all seem to be outdated bios-wise, so just to clarify, can i just bridge the points (i dont want to be able to switch the mod off, just want it modded) then take off my chip while the xbox is on, then flash the bios and it will flash my tsop?

thanks in advance

Nope.  If you boot from the lpc, you flash the lpc.  Boot from the tsop, you flash the tsop.  Like every rule there are exceptions....but simply to answer your question, no.

The easiest way to TSOP flash your virgin box is to bridge the points, do a softmod with a memory stick or memory card, then flash.

If you don't have a memory card to transfer the exploit from your modded box to your new box, you can bridge the points and put the chip in your unmodded box, ftp the the softmod gamesave into it or load it via DVD/CD, take the chip out, softmod, then flash the TSOP.

Remember that a softmodded HD must be locked.
