Flashing A 1.6 Xbox
« on: February 01, 2007, 11:56:00 AM »

First off I still concider myself a noob when it comes to modding. However I have been working on computers as an amature since I was twelve. I am sure that there is a way to read the contents off the Xyclops  and I also believe that there is a way to reflash the firmware with a replacement.  I have read that M$ uses a serial conection to write the chip and so I was wondering if anyone knows what format they us? ie RS 232. I have got a chip out of an old serial mouse and have made a reader so that I could moddify another piece of equipment and think that if it was loaded via a serial interface then it could be read the same way... which is the first step. Please post any comments or ideas or if I am totally wrong then no harm done but to say that it is impossible without adding a piece of hardware seems wrong...

Its not possible, as already stated.

Closing as further speculation is pointless.
