No, the BIOS that you flashed to your TSOP does not contain a built-in FTP server.

To regain FTP access to your Xbox, you can cold-boot a dashboard disc, such as a Slayer's EvoX auto-installer disc.

Or you could just put Evox on disk and cold boot it. Works like a champ.

Hmm.... Correct me if I wrong, but didnt learning just quote xboxgamer but put it in different words?

No I did not. Hes saying that you can do it with the Slayers install disk that runs Evox. I am simply saying that you can use just plain Evox on a disk instead of the entire Slayers install disk

I flashed the TSOP to X2_4977, and when I rebooted I had the custom X, and then it would hang at a black screen.

So I went back into Raincoat and FTP'd the old M$ dash onto the box, and it will work with the Microsoft dash.

But when I tried to run the softmod, the screen goes black, and then a white screen appears, and then it reboots splinter cell.

Doesn't the X2 BIOS have a built-in FTP?

why are you using 4977? if its a 256k TSOP why not 4981 or 4983? (but I prefer 4981 cause you can customize it).  if you have a v1.0 or 1.1 xbox, why not use 5035?

was your xbox softmoded when you did the TSOP flashing? if it was still softmoded during the flash, when you reboot it'll go black (same thing happened to me). Once you flashed the TSOP with a X2 bios, you'll need to cold boot the exploit game you softmoded with, and uninstall it.
