I have a friends softmodded xbox, which will boot retail discs but nothing else, no disc etc.  

I had this happen to my softmodded xbox before.  I just reflashed it with splinter cell and everything was fine.
I still had the save/game on my HDD, so I just booted splinter cell, and loaded the save game.  

My friends xbox does not have the splinter cell save games on the HDD.  I can boot splinter cell but the game won't let me load a save game from the memory card.  I can't copy the save game to the xbox hdd because I can't get into any dashboard.  I obviously don't have ftp server working either.

Does anyone know of a way to get these files to the xbox?  Is there a retail disc that would allow me to get the save games to the xbox hdd?

Any other suggestions?
