ok ive waited long enough and scared and stuck with softmods but i have a new 40 gig hd i got out a tivo i want to use and so ive decided to flash one of my beloved xboxs its a 1.2 im going to connect those poitns with some foil do it and call it a day

so whats the best bios to use thats 256k and are thier any easy to use programs to do so cuz i have slayers

First thing you need to know is what brand of TSOP chip you have, since you know the points you need to bridge you should be able to figure this out by looking at a few guides.

A good 256k bios would either be a IND-bios(highly customizable, supports no AV check no DVD check and can make almost any changes to it without reflashing) or the Xecuter2 4981(good stable xecuter bios but need to re-flash any time you want to change anything)

I'm currently using the xecuter, but going to be switching back to the IND soon.

If you have a winbond chip you are going to need a 007 or SC hack with v0.7 raincoat

If you have any other chip you can flash by any method(not tested since I have only encountered winbonds)

honestly forget the tin foil crap......

I recommend raincoat v0.7 and 007 as long as its a exploitable version of the game. Any game save exploit really as long as it works alongside raincoat.

X2 4983.06  256kb is all i've ever used and have never had a problem I dunno what other ppl have had wrong but all 108 flashes  have done faultlessly.
