Green Painted 1.0 Mobo Don't Work...
« on: October 13, 2006, 10:50:00 AM »

Hi All!

Is there anyone, who met 1.0 MOBO, what was painted with green paint on many places on motherboard?
I try to chipping it, and flashing, but not work. Is it 'debug' MOBO?

Please help, if you have any information about it.

Another problem is, I don't have the HDD waht was released with it.

I dont understand what exactly what your asking but all xbox motherboards are green.

I know u dont have a HDD. Can you tell us what bios chip is on it?

Also if it is just the motherboard then REMEMBER you need the correct version of the power supply for the M/B
You cant just add any'ol PSU to it.

Tell us some more

I try again smile.gif

so. yes, all of xbox mobo are green. but it is a green mobo with GREEN PAINTED on some places. DVD socket and HDD socket painted some places too. It is "signed for" anything, but I don't know why.
Usually I can flash or chipping an 1.0 xbox everytime, but this one I can't.

look like spray paint to me. whoever you bought it from was painting a case or something and put some there. whats the name of the tsop chip ? I dont think there is any "debug board" or anything. if you dont have the stock drive, I'd say you try installing a chip and make sure all wires are soldered properly.

Check for any broken traces on the motherboard, also when you turn on the xbox do you get any video at all.And I can say thats not a debug motherboard at all.Its just a retail V1.0 motherboard.

I am pretty positive it is kernel revision 3944, which doesnt show any error codes. When you do install a chip do you get a frag or just doesnt respond to the chip at all like its not even installed?

a video about boot sequence
video without chip!

I put a chip in it, but than not booting, I think I got a frag...
