id 0x09 is what you get when the chip is not write enabled properly, adding that to the config does nothing for you as....well.....its not write enabled, hahaha

Make sure you have soldered the correct points (one on top, and one on the bottom)and redo them if you must.
( i know you said you checked ...but if it was infact good then you wouldnt get that id code)

St is not sharp so do not add the sharp wire.

Thanks for the info.

I've double checked my points and even resoldered the connection without luck.  sad.gif

My guess is that either my TSOP is bad, there is a cold solder joint somewhere not related to what I've done, or that I shorted something elese to these traces.

Just for the record these are the points I've checked.  All the blue points show continunity with the circled blue point, same with the red.......
