Tsop Flash Gone Wrong >_<
« on: September 06, 2006, 08:55:00 AM »

OK, basicaly what happen is that i correctly flashed my TSOP
that's the good part

the bad part is that it was with 1.6 bios so i had no video
the box was softmodded before this so i though that might havve caused problems (i didn't realize that the bios were the wrong version until i screwed up some more) so i was able to blindly navigate to my xbox to xbox tranfer program and i reformated the TSOP flashed xbox's c drive with that of my version 1.6 (i also wasn't thinking this could cause problems) i restarted and still no video, of cause, wrong bios, but also it doesn't sound like it is getting past the x logo.

someone please help >_<

thanks a ton happy.gif

o yea, i tried loading some games and i'm not sure if they loaded or not, there was no further sound after the blod scene. and also when i first flashed it (when i was only getting no video) i was able to boot and blindly navigate through all of the menus without the dvd drive, so the bios are flashed right, yet wrong at the same time >_<.

i'll try that as soon as get home

no, 3 wire trick wont work, since all banks would hve the 1.6 bios

the only thing you can do is try a eurasia flashdisc, and hope it loads

thanks, lesson learned
don't take files from a 1.6 and try to put them on a 1.1 lol

well, with the other hard drive i was able to once again blindly navagate and reflash the bios happy.gif

the only thing is the bios that i flashed it with made it frag
i don't know why, they were simply the X2 5035 bios that i used before, except the right version this time >_<

i'm just going to get a modchip, lol

lol, problem was later discovered, i flashed my tsop on the 1.3/1.4 mobo with the x2 5035 bios
so the bios was too big and when it was resized it caused it to stop working

even tho the 1.6 version worked, just without video
