First time i have flashed TSOP. I used this, worked wonderfully. All ready has my preferred BIOS in it too smile.gif
You might want to update your pictures of XBMC, as it's in version 2.0 now?
Not a big deal.

Anyways,
Thanks for a great tutorial!

So wait.... this uses raincoat 0.5? I've been trying to flash my winbond chip and I keep getting errors. I was told raincoad .7 is the only raincoat that works with winbonds, and assumed this came with it. Does it or no?

NO NO NO....... If you have a winbond chip I have only eva used Raincoat 0.7 and James Bond 007 that is exploitable.

make sure that the game save is on the HDD of the xbox. By the sound of your other posts you are almost there. Are you following the commands in DOS correctly?

Hope it helps

If you're talking to me, I've only tried NMS sad.gif. I keep getting write enabled errors and i've soldered the points at least 5 times. Just now I did a wire install on them and tested with a multimeter and they're connected, so i shouldn't have any errors. As far as trying straight through Raincoat i've yet to do it. I gave up on NMS and I put the exploit saves on the drive. Now I have to freeze the xbox for 30 mins then try to flash before the tsop comas or freezes. THat's the only thing i'm scared of is the xbox locking up as im flashing...

Update- I put the xbox in the freezer for an hour, took it out and went to boot the Flash Utility. It loads, and I get the evox splash screen, and it never goes into Raincoat. It freezes up at the Evolutionx splash. I tried booting twice to no avail.

You put the whole xbox in the freezer?

I've done this with dead HDD to recover data before, never heard of someone sticking a whole pc/xbox in the freezer though.

Yea, it sounds weird and even I was skeptical but trust me it works. If you have a coma TSOP, and you put the xbox in the freezer for 30-45 minutes chances are it'll work when it comes out. So basically I need to put it in the freezer for an hour then take it out to try to flash the tsop, but it keeps freezing at the evox splash screen in raincoat. If anyone can help me i'd be extremely grateful.

hmm, having problems - hoping it's something simple.

1.3 xbox.

Using the 256k X2 4981.06.bin bios file found in the NMS TSOP Flasher 2.0 package (from xbins). I renamed it to bios.bin and copied it to:

>NMS TSOP Flasher 2.0\Exploit\Saves\TSOP Flasher\UDATA\21585554\000000000000\Flasher\bios\bios.bin

and

>NMS TSOP Flasher 2.0\Exploit\Saves\TSOP Flasher\UDATA\21585554\000000000000\Raincoat\bios.bin (overwriting the existing bios.bin).

Transfered that lot to my modified xbox, on to the mem card. Then from mem card to unmodified HD.

Ran 007, loaded save game. Got the NMS flasher screen, chose flash etc. Penguin appears, loads of text.. then it says flash failed check log file for details.

So, if it's not obvious what the problem is - how/where do I read the log file?

Thanks!

Has anyone managed to get raincoat 0.7 going with this - I've copied the relevent files in to where they appear to be required yet it still insists on loading raincoat 0.5

Not only that it never finds the raincoat.conf file - it's there though!!?

Its true I got my 1.4 coma console to boot 3 times by cooling the tsop I didn't freeze the whole box, put an ice cube in a plastic bag and held it onto the winbond chip.  The first 2 times I didn't have write-enables points proper but 3rd time lucky loaded splintercell + raincoat flashed and its all good.  It booted everytime with the ice cube not once with out.
