1.1 Sharp Tsop Not Writable?
« on: July 27, 2006, 07:12:00 AM »

For my sharp I soldered one wire to each solder point of the TSOP points (4 points in total)

Ran the wires up the board and soldered two switch's so when the xbox was on I can flick the switch's and bridge the points together.   Then I flashed it.  Worked 100% for me, I hope you have the same results.

I'm not going to use a switch. Can someone provide a good image of what it is supposed to look like? (I want to use 2 wires, not bridging those spaces).

Ok guys I soldered the 3 wires, and whenever I turn on my Xbox, it doesn't display any video. If I try to eject the DVD, it shuts off and reboots. Suggestions?

I have never flashed a sharp before, but in that post is says to join a and b after boot when you're ready to flash.  I am not sure if this will effect it or not.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I didn't think it would matter. I will try using longer wires and twist them.

Ok I did that, it boots! I went into EvoX -> Systm Utils. (twisted wires) -> flash BIOS, selected my BIOS, it said press Y to flash. Did that. It's been saying erasing for like 3 minutes.

Ok I turned it off and untwisted. It still boots. Any ideas?

Try using raincoat.  I've never used evox to flash, so i cant help you there.

Trying to use Eurasia and a verified EvoxM7_blue_1mg BIOS.

Eurasia just blackscreened, now trying something else.
