could be a number of things from poor ventilation to a short circuit to a failed or unplugged fan

clean out the inside, make sure its not dusty, make sure you fans are plugged in and nothing is blocking them inside or outside the xbox, make sure nothing is blocking the side vents, if necessary turn up the case fan with a 12v mod

I decided to TSOP flash this xbox, after I had disconnected the X3 completely.

that's not a good sign. If your MCPX is damaged... your motherboard is toast.

I took everything out and checked it, cleaned it, and replaced some of the fans...

It still messes up...oh well.

Thanks!

I'm haveing the same problem with my xbox v1.0 w/ tsop evox M8bios bios. it was fine for about a week, but now it does the same as yours, after 10-40 min, screen goes black and flashes orange. the heat stays at about 140 F at the highest.

jesus, 140? i never break 110 ... you have issues. try taking the black wire from the fan and taping/soldering it to the metal frame for increaded airflow

Since he flashed with a 1 meg image, it sounds like he doesnt have his tsop split.  In this case, he is not causing any damage to the mcpx as it is functioning like it normally would.
