ok so i have my hdd unlocked and I boot it up with my x2 bios and then I go into config magic and lock it.  Then I turn the xbox off and flip the retail bios and boot up the locked hdd.  Then when I want to unlock it I boot the locked hdd with the x2 bios and then unlock the hdd with config magic.

Does xbl check any of the files on th hdd? I don't think it does but just checking.  If not then can I add any file anywhere.   To any of the partititions and be safe from being banned.  As long as it's not a hacked game save or something like that.

So I take it it doesn't check for hdd size then. Is there anything else I need to do to my hdd in order to get on live other than lock it and boot retail bios?

I was just reading the post in this forum about the exploding mcpx.  I would like to put a heatsink on mine just to be sure.  Do you have a link to a good heatsink for the mcpx with the selfadhesive back.  What heatsink would you recommend putting on the nvidia mcpx chip.  Thanks

By the way the box is up and running great.  I updated my eeprom and I'm about to try it out on live. I have to order a straight through cable and I'm going to order a heatsink.  Thanks again for the help

What heatsinks do you use on your mcpx? Where do you get them?

Ok I have live now and I'm good... I don't know if I'm going to get banned or not because I have only had it for a day or so.  I was told by I think Lordvader that just to be even safer to have the bios boot your dash from f:/ that way c:/ will be exactly the same as if it were a stock hdd... I have the newest x2 bios, 5035 i think they are and i have the x2 config maker.  I don't really know what do do with it though. I opened the x2 config maker and I see where to edit the places where is searches for primary, secondary etc... for the dashboard to boot.  Then I save the file and it makes a .ini file.  Where to I place this file or what do I have to do with it inorder for it to work.  Thanks  Also do I have to have the .ini file named something specific.  Thanks again.
