Basically I made x2_5035_v16plus_512k.bin a 1 megabyte bios and flashed a V1.0 Xbox before realizing that I should have used x2_5035_vOld_512k.bin instead. Now I have lost audio/video output but the Xbox does turn on and appears to even load games (the dvd drive sounds like it is trying to load a game when there is a game in the drive).
After flashing with the wrong bios, I was hoping that I would be able to at least load an EvoX CDRW on this Xbox and be able to flash it again via the network, but I had no such luck. I wasn't able to connect to the Xbox via FTP, so this leads me to believe that the Xbox is still unable to load un-signed code despite being flashed with a modded bios (even if it's the wrong version.) And like I said, I really have to way of knowing whether or not any discs can be loaded with this Xbox because I have no audio/video output and the only thing I can rely on is the sound the dvd drive makes.
Now I have no idea what to do next. I have an original X-BIT modchip, but someone told me that the only good this would do me is if I left this modchip in the Xbox permanently. I suggested only booting the Xbox with this modchip and then removing it before flashing the TSOP again (with an EvoX CDRW) but this guy claimed that was not possible with an "LPC" mod. Can anyone verify that? Theoretically, I think this technique should work. I guess I will try it on my own though.
I have also read varioud tidbits on connecting one Xbox motherboard to another but I have yet to find a solid tutorial on how to do this...and I'm not sure if it would fix my problem anyways.
So, at this point, I'm left with the following questions:
1.) What is my best solution to fix this problem?
2.) What exactly happens when you make a stupid mistake like this?
-------->A.) Is the Xbox still loading up game discs in the background?
-------->B.) Does it disable any network functionality?
Thanks for your time. As you can see, I did make a long attempt at trying to find an solution on my own. But as usual, it's best to ask people who probably know what they are talking about.
Thanks again.
P.S. - This is probably the 15th or so Xbox that I've modded but the first major problem I've ever come across. I wouldn't consider myself a complete n00b. I'm just a n00b to this kind of problem.
