The only time I ever saw red/orange it turned out to be a lifted trace.

Hmm....garbled video might be signs of a bad GPU or MCPX. Did the person who flashed your TSOP add a switch for 2 bioses?

Are you sure he flashed the bios? Sounds like he softmodded it. Did he open it up and solder the board? How did he mod it, we can't help you any further until you find out.

He probably damaged something while soldering.

I can tell you what that means, you fried your GPU. I had the same problem when trying to pull off the GPU heatsink of my 1.0.

I think its a lifted trace, but either way it is physical damage. Either way, you need to open it up and look for damage.

Its totally the GPU after what your described as "flickering" on the screen. Has to be, what else can it really be?

ive got the same problem flashinfg red/orange(what ever colour it is) with no mod chip installed and no visable damage to mother board on a 1.6 ver board
