1. X2.6 ce lite yes
2. NO flash bios screen I used a programer M8.bios 256x4
3. I stopped getting the logo when I turned the chip off and rebooted from slayers to see if the original ms dash worked (when It was working).

It sounds logical that there is something wrong with the chip so I redid the d0 (its a headerpin install so theres no problems there). Now all the lights light up just fine but still no bios infront of the ms dash.

Crap this sucks

ok first off u need to lock the hdd in that xbox as each xbox has its own hdd key, thats y ur getting error 6 (cannot unlock hdd).
it sounds like ur not booting ur mod or u flashed ur mod with orginal bios or just bad installion.

personally what i would do is sort out the ms dash problem

then once it is sorted out if it was a 1.0 to 1.5 I'd just tsop the sodding thing, then run the 200gb h/d unlocked and forget live - still a brilliant freebie find

just thinking that if the lpc or mod or D0 is iffy then it wouldn't matter no more on a tsop

heck if it was a 1.6 I'd softmod it - still a good result

flog or keep xecuter 2.6 as a good spare chip

if you suspect the chip is iffy then if you have that other modded xbox to hand run it up in that xbox rebooting loads of times and all that

my guess is ya D0 or lpc "could" be suspect but if you keep rewelding it with a hot iron you may screw it up on the top D0

hence if it was all working with small locked h/d to ms-dash with mod off - eg all probs fixed - then tsop or softmod it perhaps

If you can get your hands on another X2.6 external switch try that. I got one with a busted switch and it did pretty much the same thing yours seems to be doing. Turns on, all leds working on switch, nothing but MS bios coming up. I ended up de-soldering all 3 of the individual switches and bridged the neccesary points with a bit of soldier, worked like a charm. Those little switches are real turds, cheapest innards you've ever seen.
