NO.... error 5 means hardrive not locked... so either you are not doing it right.... or your hard drive is not lockable.... try configmagic to lock it...

Same results with a different harddrive (error 5)
Do you think the modchip somehow go unflashed because its like its not there anymore(there is no indication of a modded bios).

seriously dude, you just need to lock it, lock it, with config magic and you are set. once again thats lock it, not unlock.

ya i know how to do it I just didnt do it and now when i put in the slayers disc i get nothing errror 5.

Next time I know I should lock the harddrive but how do i get the xbox to except my slayers disk now that it says error 5?

Should slayers disc still work on error 5?
I do not get the evox logo at the top left when i reboot.
Should i do the hotswap?

we'll I reflashed the chip to M8plus but the evox logo still doesn't show.

Im going to try a stock hardrive.

I just installed the stock harddrive and now i get error 21 but slayers still wont load up?

WHy do you think the evox logo isnt showing up when I reboot? Ever sense I turned the chip off I can never get the logo to show up or bios to load before MS's. I have a samsung drive and good media and I've tried over and over angain every which way to try and get this xbox to read my slayers again it just wond do it?

1) turn the chip back on.

2) Boot slayer

3) re-install the m$ stuff (rebuild retail)

4) lock the damn drive

5) try booting with the chip off now...

does this work? can you get through all of these steps?

alright man i just read through this whole dam thing you got goin on here. K first. Are you using an xecuter 2.6 lite? second can you get to the flashbios screen to flash the bios? if so then you should be able to flash with any bios even evolution bios and get the evox logo on top left. If you arn't getting that logo then its not the evo bios and you arn't booting the modchip bios then, you are booting the ms bios so of course its not going to boot the slayers disk. You problem is the bios and the modchip. Either you modchip isn't connecting right, which i think is the problem, or your arn't flashing a hacked bios, if the lights on the chip arn't coming on then the chip isn't connected properly, so recheck all connections. Once the chip boots the hacked bios then it will boot slayers. Easy as that!
