Winbond

Okey this is a little odd. i have soldierd the points correctly and actually triple checked the points to make sure that a proper connection is in contact. 1 top one bottom (v1.2 xbox) and tried to flash the winbond with evoX or to at least get the proper flash type. since i am not entirely sure of the *.bin size. so i was wondering if its evoX cousing this failure. i have correctly placed the winbond flash types in my evoX.ini of my splintercell exploit and it will give me that error "Flash not writable"

now i looked again at the soldiering screen shots and they are corectly intaked. i even scratched the surface just a little bit on the bottum soldier poijnt, just to make sure a proper connection was there.

so how else can i go off with this. i have modded many xbox's tsop's but mostly of any of them i have done. was "st's and hynix's" no problem through evoX

should i use, excuse my spelling if it isnt correct ( and since raincoat doesnt seem to work and hang at the loading screen) "Eurosia"???

if anyone that has done a winbond have any advice  or can say again the correct soldier points (just to make 100% sure) if the tutorials are not correct in any case for his particular winbond, it would be greatly appreciated!!!

i have also soldierd the R7D2->R7D1 points as the other  option. but still i am stuck thinking what may have gone wrong

thanks again  :D

evox cant flash winbonds, it hangs on erasing

try raincoat .7 (it also resizes a 256k bios to fit a 1mb chip, but your chip is 256k)

if raincaot gives flash not writable clean off your sodler points and resolder them

you need to specify what raincoat will read to, liek this

./raincoat -r orig_bios.bin

If you can't 'read' the bios either, then it really does sound like your soldering needs re-doing.

Just put in

./raincoat

If it doesn't work, you're not in the right directory, normally /media/E/UDATA/4541000d/000000000000/raincoat
