You can on a V1.0 with a special bios.  The name escapes me but please read the tutorials.

For the most part you can't flash TSOP with LPC chip because the LPC bypasses the TSOP so the xbox doesn't even know its there.  Very common misconception by lots of people, try searching for it as many have asked this same question before.

1.0 and 1.1 using the evox TSOP d.6, but that bios is such a pain in the to get right you might as well just set up a dashbaord exploit

The point of doing the softmod (UDE exploit) would be so u didn't have to install a modchip just to get the gamesave on the xbox....But if u don't have a modded box already or action replay to get the gamesave onto a mem card then installing the chip would be ur best bet...

I take it u want to flash the tsop cuz the x2 chip isn't urs correct?

Install ur chip, install a dashboard like evox for instance or boot slayers, gain ftp access, go to the usual place, d-load whatever tsop package ur going to use (depending on which exploitable game u have, splinter cell, mechassault or 007:auf)...the packages u would need are in xbox\exploits\_packages...Ftp the gamesave folder over to the xbox's e:\udata folder...Uninstall ur X2 chip, and at this point, solder the 2 sets of tsop unlock pads....Boot up ur game, load the save from the hdd, exploit in, flash tsop with desired method...Keep in mind Winbond can only be flashed with raincoat..

Now if u do have access to a modded xbox and can get the gamesave package u need onto a mem card for tsop, just do that and it'll be a lot easier...

U undestand, there's no point in installing a softmod if ur gonna have to install a chip to gain ftp access to ur xbox, only instance i would say to go that router is if u didn't have a modded box to use, u didn't have a chip to use, and u had an action replay, then sure, softmod to get the tsop package on...then when done, uninstall softmod...If u go this route, i suggest Ltools, easy easy easy.

easiest ay would be to install the chip in his xbox, FTP a dashbaord expoit (UDE or what have you) then remove the chip and use UDE to load evox and flash (after soldering th epoints of course)

well, thanks anyway I guess when i was trying to put the spider chip i messed up the xbox, cause now it will not boot, error code 6.

check and checked wires to ensure everything is connected right, probably messed up the lpc points, when trying to use the spider.

oh well. guess we are going to either have to go with a lpc rebuild or do ??, lol.
