1.) i agree ... cheapmod
2.) you're using the wrong port. download qwix and have that autodetect the xbox and it'll tell you the correct ip address
3.) i don't understand the rest of that ...

You will need to set the ip in the evox settings manually.  I don't know what a combat cable is, but in order to use networking on the xbox it must be thru the ethernet port.  The easiest way to set up your xbox how you want is to download and burn a copy of slayers auto install 2.6 (google).

You must use a crossover cable and not a patch cable so make sure you have the right cable.  You can't change the settings in evox once the cd is burned, so you have to do it before thru the ini file.  Like I said, its just easier to download and burn slayers.

slayers is a torrent.. after you donwload it unpack the iso then burn to a disk
that your xbox can read...

once you boot your xbox with slayers you can install evox.

then you can change your Ip settings in evox to connect to your pc.

just go to settings in evox to change the IP address..

your pc ip should be like 192.168.0.1

then on your xbox settings should be

IP 192.168.0.3 (or any number other than the 1 like the gateway)
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
then ip gateway 192.168.0.1
