i have a v1.0 and lifted the pad on the bottom point, the top point is fine. Does anyone know what lines (yellow/skyblue or red/blue) to replace my bottom points?

sorry for the thread revival.

Since i'm a retarded when it comes to electronics and soldering: can I just bridge the two point pairs (V1.2/1.3) with a wire and sticking some electrical tape along so that it stays, or do I REALLY have to solder?

Solder please. Or you can always purchase a conductive ink pen at radio shack $10 USD.

you mean http://www.hmcelectronics.com/cgi-bin/scri...oduct/1530-0102, right? isn't there sort of a danger for other points NOT to solder?

also, i have to ask:

1- can the liquid coming out of that pen be easily removed?
2- will that liquid affect the underlying pathways?
3- can I link the points to do a first TSOP flash or does it HAVE to be a recovery?

just so I know. I don't want to brick my "best" console ( i have two, and i want to mod the one that works better ^^; )

Why hasn't this been pinned? This topic saved my dumb butt. I suck at soldering so I ruined the points on the top side of the mobo and I searched and searched and FINALLY found something to save my butt. Thanks so much guys.

Your v1.2+ picture shows two parts on the motherboard. one on the top and one on the bottom. are these 2 diferent methods or do you have to solder on both sides of board?

they are 2 different methods, you just have to join any one red point to any one blue point, and any one yellow point to any one light blue point

depending on which points and how many are wrecked you may or may not need top+bottom

My turn to resurrect.
I have done a couple of modchip installs, but i wanted to try a TSOP to see what it was all about.  I am decent with a solder pencil, but i just couldn't get the second pair of points (closest to the LPC on my 1.4) connected.  Thanks to the alternate points given, it was a snap.  Successful flash.  Thanks to the OP!!!
