How To Re-flash A Tsop W/ Raincoat 0.7?
« on: July 28, 2004, 07:26:00 PM »

Like the title says.  I have a v1.0 xbox that came pre-flashed with the 4977 Bios.  I want to Re-Flash the TSOP with a custom 4981 bios that removes the flubber animation because it stutters when checking for my dead dvd drive...

So my question is (since I didn't even do the original flash) how to you reflash the TSOP with Raincoat?  Can I run it as an app or do I have to use a 007 game exploit like the tutorials?  I'm not quite sure what to do since all the tutorials are for the original flash.  Is there a tut for RE-flashing the TSOP?

Thanks!

If the bios is alrady flashed with a hacked one then you can run it as an app. Also you should use the xbtool to turn off the detect DVD drive...

i did some searching and found that xbtool is the same as xboxtool...  right now I have a bios that has the dvd check off to allow me to boot my xbox w/ no dvd drive. the problem is that the bios still seems to check for it because the during the fluber animation the picture and sound locks up for a second, right at the time the dvd drive usually trys to check for a dvd.  i find by disabling the fluber animation you don't notice the lockup  (if there even is one) because the picture is still and there is no sound...

So to re-flash with raincoat 0.7, do I run it as an app and then telnet in from my PC, using the commands from the tutorials?

Thanks!

I don't trust evox (or like it) I want to use Raincoat because it is considered the best way to flash...

So as I asked in my previous post, how do I "run it as an app"  There is no .xbe file...  Someone has got to know how to do this! lordvader129?
