Yes you could put in a modchip, and reflash the TSOP to an original BIOS

Ah, ok.

Currently I have a switch connected to the TSOP, will this be made "redundant" aswell if I put in the mod-chip?

Cheers for the quick reply by the way!

well you could either remove the switch and reflash the TSOP or just leave it in to give yourself more bios options

but a flashed TSOP is just as good as a "proper modchip" so your better off just saving the time money and effort and leaving it how it is

Ah, ok.

Many thanks for the replies!

Oh, can I actually change the BIOS thats in there at the moment? Put in the Xecutor one, for example? At the moment, its the old Evox one.

yah, if you currectly have an evox bios you can update it to an x2 bios if you want, just use the evox dashbaord to flash the bios

Hi

Hmm, I did try using my Evox disk, but it says it is unable to flash the bios when I try to flash it.

Do I need to put it into flash mode? If so, how? Any tutorials for thsi kind of thing?

Cheers again!

probably have to re-solder the WE points, check the pinned tutorials and youll be able to write enable your xbox again

What's the best way to reflash the TSOP with a different bios? (doesn't have to be the easiest)  I don't trust Evox...

lordvader129:

gotcha, so does that involve using a PC and telnet or can the flash be done directly from the xbox?

Thanks!
